Science fiction and futuristic novels allow us to examine, collaboratively, the question of: What If? Through these stories, we imagine the future, armed with what we know about ourselves now (the good and the bad). We imagine the consequences of making, or not making, certain decisions. We picture how the world might change if certain events did, or did not, happen. The hypothetical imagined futures these stories pose have a profound impact on how we evolve.

As writers, and human beings, we owe it to ourselves (and the world) to plug into these conversations every once in a while, even if they’re not our primary genres. Join us this month as we dive into the future!
